Buckwheat drachena - a recipe for cooking a dish of Belarusian cuisine, the dough in drachena is not completely risen, but slightly sour.

Recipe Ingredients

Rye Flour 1 cup
Buckwheat Flour 0.5 cup
Whey 0.5 cup
Butter 70 g
Egg White 1 pcs
Egg Yolk 3-4 pcs
Milk 1.5-2 cups

Cooking Recipe

For the recipe buckwheat drachena, dilute rye flour in a small amount of water, mix with whey and leave for 3-4 hours in a warm place.

When the mixture turns sour, add buckwheat flour and beat.

Beat the butter, grind the yolks with powdered sugar and add everything to the dough. While whisking the dough, pour in the milk and gently fold in the beaten egg white.

Grease a preheated baking dish with butter, pour in the batter and place in a preheated 180-190°C (355-375°F) oven. Bake buckwheat drachena for 30 minutes. Drachena is best served hot.
