Tincture on Honey "Krambambulya" – the recipe for a Belarusian tincture, krambambula, was used even at the beginning of the 20th century, but after this drink was somehow lost, but recently it has become more and more popular.

Recipe Ingredients

Vodka 500 ml
Honey 2-3 tbsp
Ground Cinnamon 1 pinch
Clove 2-4 pcs
Allspice 1-2 pcs
Nutmeg 1 pinch
Black Pepper 5-6 pcs
Water 250 ml

Cooking Recipe

For the Belarusian recipe Krambambulya honey tincture grind the cloves and mix with the rest of the spices, except for black pepper, pour in 250 ml of vodka and the same amount of water, mix and put on a slow fire.

Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer covered for 10 minutes. After removing from heat, add the remaining vodka, honey, mix, cover and set aside for 5 minutes.

Then strain the tincture, add black peppercorns, close tightly and put in a cool place for 7-10 days.

After the time has elapsed, carefully, so as not to raise the sediment, use a straw to drain krambambulya into a bottle or decanter and you can serve.

It is worth noting that the Krambambuli recipe is widely distributed on the Internet, in which an unfortunate mistake has crept in. Instead of 2-4 pcs. cloves are recommended to take 2-4 teaspoons. The result is a dark cloudy liquid that is almost impossible to consume. The situation can be saved by diluting the erroneous Krambambuli recipe 5-10 times with vodka and water and adding honey.
