Of course, no one will often make such a dish as German-style cottage cheese cake, but sometimes you can afford it and cook this delicate cake with air filling.

For cottage cheese cake, add crushed cold butter, cream, yolks and sugar to the flour. Knead the dough quickly, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare the curd mass. Add the ingredients to the cottage cheese mashed through a sieve. Cherries and dried apricots, pre-soaked in boiling water for 5 minutes, and chop the almonds. Mix the curd mass well.
Roll out the prepared dough thinly and lay it on a high baking dish. Pour the curd mass on top of the dough and bake at 180°C (355°F) for 40 minutes.
Beat egg whites with sugar until fluffy and pour them over the surface of the cake. Bake again for 20 minutes. After the time has elapsed, cottage cheese cake should not be removed immediately from the oven, but let it cool down gradually.
