Shakar-lokum is a recipe of Azerbaijani cuisine, shortbread cookies with cognac, based not on sugar, but on powdered sugar. Instead of cognac, you can pour vodka into the dough. The beauty of the liver is given by small cracks that appear during baking. To make shakar lokum even more beautiful and look like flowers, you can apply a little trick. Roll the dough into small balls, let them stand for 5 minutes, during which time the dough will become a little weathered, and then flatten. The edges of the dough will tear, giving the cookie the shape of a flower.
