Lamb shish kebab - every Azerbaijani family knows how to cook shish kebab and every family has its own unique shish kebab recipe. The most important thing in barbecue is meat. Tender meat of a young lamb, soaked in the aroma of fresh herbs, awakens the appetite at any time of the year.

Recipe Ingredients

Lamb 1 kg
Onion 1 pcs
Chaber 1 tsp
Mint 0.5 tsp
Cilantro 1-2 tbsp
Bay Leaf 1 pcs
Lemon 0.5 pcs

Cooking Recipe

The recipe for lamb shish kebab is very simple. Rinse lamb and cut into small pieces. Add chopped savory, mint, cilantro, onion, bay leaf and juice of half a lemon. Season with salt and pepper.

Put the prepared meat tightly in a saucepan and refrigerate for 2-3 hours. Thread marinated lamb meat on a skewer and fry on hot charcoal. Serve kebab with herbs, fresh vegetables, sprinkle with pickled onions on top.
