Mint (lat. Mentha) is a plant of the Lamiaceae family. Mint has more than 25 species, all of them are very fragrant and contain a large amount of menthol. Despite the large number of mint species, the most common type is peppermint (Mentha pipereta), it is used in folk medicine, in cooking and in cosmetics. Mint is an unpretentious plant, and it can be grown almost everywhere.
