Tomato pesto pie - Gordon Ramsay's recipe to wow your friends or family, don't have to stand in the kitchen all day, make a tomato pesto pie and enjoy your time with your loved ones. You can always buy puff pastry at the store, it makes making a pie much easier.

Recipe Ingredients

Puff Pastry 250 g
Egg Yolk 1 pcs
Rosemary 1 twig
Thyme 1-2 twigs
Green Onions 2 stems
Pesto Sauce 2-3 tbsp
Basil 3-4 leaves

Cooking Recipe

For the Gordon Ramsay recipe tomato pesto pie, place the puff pastry on a lightly floured board and roll out into a 0.5cm thick sheet. The sheet should be 15x25cm , with a sharp knife, draw a line at a distance of 1 cm from the edge along the perimeter of the dough, without cutting through.

Grease the resulting border with yolk beaten with water, and grease the central part of the dough with pesto sauce.

Top the pesto with halved tomatoes and sprinkle with chopped rosemary and thyme. Top with finely chopped green onions.

Finely grate Parmesan or other hard cheese, sprinkle it over the tomatoes, herbs and onions, and place in a preheated 220°C (430°F) oven. Bake the cake for 20 minutes until the dough is golden and crispy. Sprinkle tomato pie and chopped basil pesto, drizzle with olive oil, cut into 4 pieces and serve.
