Puff squares with onions - a recipe for Jewish cuisine, an easy and simple appetizer that can be prepared in a few minutes. The puff pastry does not need to be rolled out very thin, just stretched a little. Purple onions can be replaced with white onions; these two onions caramelize better and are juicier. Oregano can be replaced with herbs de Provence or fresh oregano. A wonderful holiday appetizer.

Cooking Recipe

The recipe for puff onion squares is very simple. Remove the puff pastry from the freezer and defrost. While the dough is defrosting, peel the onion and cut into rings, approximately 0.5 cm thick.

Lightly roll out the dough and cut into squares. Cover the baking sheet with paper and pour 1 tbsp in the places where the dough squares will be located. olive oil, 1 tsp. balsamic vinegar and maple syrup. Salt, pepper, add oregano and add onion.
