Meat and rice dim sum is a Chinese cuisine recipe, fragrant pork meatballs that are rolled in rice and steamed. In general, the term "dim sum" describes a range of snacks that are steamed or fried and served for breakfast or lunch.

Recipe Ingredients

Pork 600 g
Rice 120 g
Garlic 1 clove
Green Onions 2 pcs
Cilantro 2 twigs
Vegetable Oil 1 tbsp
Sugar 1 tbsp
Egg White 1 pcs
Soy Sauce 3 tbsp
Rice Wine 1 tbsp

Cooking Recipe

To cook a recipe of Chinese cuisine meat and rice dim sum, finely chop the garlic, cilantro and the green part of the onion.

Rinse the rice well under running water and soak overnight or in hot water for 1 hour. After the water is drained, and the rice is transferred to a colander and set aside so that all the liquid has come down.

Wash the pork, dry it, cut into pieces and mince in a meat grinder or chop in a blender. After cover miced meat with a film and put in the refrigerator.

Pour vegetable oil into a preheated frying pan, put garlic and onion and fry until slightly golden brown, stirring constantly. Pour sugar into the pan, mix and fry for another 1-2 minutes.

Remove the pan from the heat and let the contents cool slightly, and then mix with minced meat. Then add chopped cilantro, salt, pepper, soy sauce, wine, egg white to the minced meat and mix.

Squeeze the rice and put it on a flat plate. Shape the minced meat into walnut sized balls. Roll meat balls in rice, giving the desired shape.

Spread the form for a double boiler with vegetable oil, put meatballs in it and place in a double boiler. Cook meat and rice dim sum for 25-30 minutes. Serve dim sum warm with vegetables or herbs.
