Fried potatoes with meat (Pyttipanna) is a very simple Swedish recipe, this dish is made with leftover boiled meat and a small amount of smoked sausages. Potatoes do not need to be strongly fried, they should be stewed, soft, but not falling apart. Pickled and salted vegetables go very well with fried potatoes with meat.

For the recipe fried potatoes with meat, pre-boil the beef and cut into small cubes. Peel and finely chop the onion, cut the sausages into circles. Peel potatoes, wash and cut into medium cubes.

In a deep frying pan, heat 2 tbsp. vegetable and 2 tbsp. butter, put the potatoes and fry until soft, it is better to do this under the lid, so the potatoes will not be fried and soft.

Put the remaining butter in a separate pan, when it melts, add the onion and fry until soft, then put the chopped sausages.

When the sausages are fried, combine everything with potatoes, add chopped meat, pepper, salt, you can sprinkle with finely chopped herbs and put on a prepared plate. Put a fried egg on top of fried potatoes with meat and serve with ketchup, mustard and salted or pickled vegetables.
