Cooking Recipe

The recipe for Onion Pie is very simple and can serve as a wonderful lifesaver if guests are unexpectedly arriving. Dissolve yeast in warm milk, add salt, sugar and a small amount of flour. Mix everything well and set aside for 10 minutes in a warm place. When the dough comes up, beat in an egg, add vegetable oil, the rest of the flour and knead the dough. Put the kneaded dough in the heat for 30 minutes, and in the meantime prepare the filling.

Peel the onion into thin rings, cut the bacon into cubes.

Fry the bacon in a frying pan in heated vegetable oil until golden brown. When the bacon is completely browned, transfer it to a bowl.

And add chopped onions to the pan where it was fried. Lightly salt the onion so that the onion melts and softens more quickly, and fry over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until slightly golden brown. When the onion is completely fried, add the fried bacon to it and stir.

In a separate bowl, lightly beat the sour cream with an egg, add spices and mix.

Knead the matched dough lightly, roll out and place in a greased baking dish, put the onion filling on the dough.

Pour a mixture of sour cream, eggs and spices over the cake. Prepared onion pie put in the oven and bake at 200°C (390°F) for 30-40 minutes.
