Yeast Pie with Plums – Ukrainian cuisine recipe, tall airy pie. The pie dough is very easy and quick to prepare without any long kneading or beating. If desired, after baking the pie can be sprinkled with powdered sugar mixed with vanilla or cinnamon.

Recipe Ingredients

Plums 500 g
Wheat Flour 500 g
Butter 150 g
Milk 100 ml
Sour Cream 130 g
Eggs 4 pcs
Sugar 2 tbsp

Cooking Recipe

The recipe for yeast pie with plums is very simple. Grind flour with butter. Separate the yolks from the whites. Grind the yolks with sugar and vanilla sugar. Add the yolks to the flour, and add the yeast diluted in warm milk. Pour in sour cream and knead the dough.

Line a mold with high sides with paper. Distribute the dough evenly over the bottom of the pan. Lightly beat the egg whites and pour onto the dough.

Wash the plums and remove the pits. Place the plum slices in an even layer on the dough with the whites. If the pan is not high enough, the sides can be raised using baking paper.

Preheat the oven to 210-220°C (410-430°F). Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the finished pie from the oven and while it is still hot, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
