Sweet peppers and tomatoes in sweet and sour marinade – a recipe for Moldovan cuisine, tomatoes for this recipe are best used with thick skin, so that when pickling they do not lose their shape, but remain whole slices. Sweet and sour pickled vegetables go very well with meat dishes, boiled or fried potatoes.

Water 150 ml
Sugar 1 tbsp
Salt 1 tbsp
Vinegar 9% 100 ml
Dill 6 twigs
Parsley 4-6 twigs

Water 600 ml
Vinegar 9% 200 ml
Salt 2 tbsp
Sugar 2 tbsp
Celery Leaves 1 twig
Garlic 1 clove
Hot Pepper 0.5 pcs

Cooking Recipe

For a recipe for Moldovan cuisine sweet peppers and tomatoes in sweet and sour marinade, wash the peppers, cut into quarters and remove the seeds. Wash the tomatoes and, like peppers, cut into quarters.

In a sterilized jar, put 2 sprigs of fresh dill, half a horseradish leaf, 2 sprigs of celery, 2 sprigs of parsley, a clove of garlic, a pod of hot pepper. Put prepared peppers and tomatoes on spices, after again spices and again chopped vegetables, finish shifting with spices.

Cook the marinade separately. Pour water into a saucepan, add the spices for the marinade and put on medium heat. When the marinade boils, boil it for another 10 minutes, then strain through a sieve or cheesecloth and pour over the vegetables.

Cover the jars with vegetables with a tin lid and sterilize for 15 minutes. After the lid is rolled up, the cans are turned over, wrapped and allowed to cool.
