Pizza sauce – The recipe for the sauce is very easy, it can be prepared in advance, the pizza sauce can be stored for a long time in the refrigerator. Pizza sauce can also be sealed in jars. Herbs for the sauce can be used both fresh and dry, the amount of herbs will be determined by the culinary specialist at his discretion and taste. If you like a richer flavor and aroma, you can add garlic to your pizza sauce recipe.

Recipe Ingredients

Tomatoes 1 kg
Olive Oil 4 tbsp
Basil 2-3 twigs
Oregano 2-3 twigs
Sugar 1 tsp
Salt 3 tsp

Cooking Recipe

For a recipe for pizza sauce, wash the tomatoes, add boiling water for 2-3 minutes, and then cool with cold water. Peel the tomatoes, cut in half, remove seeds and liquid. Finely chop the prepared tomatoes.

Wash basil and oregano well under running water. Shake water from greens to the maximum, and then finely chop.

In a saucepan, mix chopped tomatoes, finely chopped herbs, salt, pepper, sugar and olive oil. Mix everything well and put on medium heat.

Cook the pizza sauce until boiling, stirring occasionally. When the sauce starts to boil and the first bubbles appear on its surface, remove from heat and cool.

If you are not satisfied with the small tomato clumps, pizza sauce can be placed in a food processor and chopped until smooth. The chilled pizza sauce can then be refrigerated and kept covered for several weeks.
