English pancakes – a dish of British cuisine. The recipe for pancakes is quite simple, they turn out to be airy and porous. English pancakes are somewhat reminiscent of large crumpets.

Recipe Ingredients

Wheat Flour 450 g
Dry Yeast 1 tsp
Sugar 1 tsp
Milk 350 ml
Water 350 ml

Cooking Recipe

The recipe for English pancakes is very simple. Pour warm milk and water into flour with sugar and yeast, it is better to take mineral water. Mix everything and put in heat for 1 hour. Then add slaked soda and a pinch of salt, mix and let stand for another 5-10 minutes.

Pour a small amount of oil into a hot frying pan. Spread out two scoops of dough, cover and fry the pancake on both sides.

English pancakes can be served with jam, honey or any cream.
