Devil's dessert cake – a recipe for American cuisine, no one can resist such a dessert, even the devil. Delicate chocolate biscuit and equally delicate chocolate cream. On top of the cake is decorated with grated dark chocolate, which complements and enhances the chocolate flavor of the cake.

Sugar 190 g
Eggs 3 pcs
Milk 225 ml
Butter 4 tbsp

Cream 33% 500 ml
Cocoa Powder 2 tbsp

Cooking Recipe

For Devil's dessert cake according to the recipe of American cuisine, melt 100 g of chocolate in a water bath. From the total amount of sugar, set aside 2 tbsp. Beat the rest of the sugar with 125 ml of milk and 1 yolk. Then mix finely sugar mixture with melted chocolate and let cool.

Whip three egg whites with the previously set aside 2 tbsp. sugar into a strong foam.

Beat butter separately, 2 tsp. vanilla sugar and powdered sugar. Without ceasing to beat, add 2 yolks, 100 ml of milk, a pinch of salt, flour and baking powder.

Gently fold the cooled chocolate mass into the whipped mass, and finally, the whipped whites.

Grease a baking dish with oil, sprinkle with flour and put the prepared dough into it. Preheat the oven to 180°С (355°F), place the cake in it and bake for 40-45 minutes. After baking, allow the cake to cool and cut lengthwise into two layers.

Whip heavy cream into a stiff foam with 1 tsp. vanilla sugar, and then mix with cocoa. Transfer the bottom layer cake to the prepared dish, brush with whipped cream, cover with the top cake and brush with the remaining cream. Decorate the cake with coarsely grated chocolate.
