Cake "Hercules" – a recipe for a delicious cake that consists of two sand layers, one of which is nutty, you can use sour jam, jam or marmalade to connect the layers.

Cooking Recipe

For the Hercules cake recipe, you need to prepare two types of shortcrust pastry. Remove all ingredients from the refrigerator in advance so that they are all at room temperature. To begin, prepare shortbread cakes. Mix all the ingredients, except flour, into a homogeneous smooth mass, then add flour and mix into crumbs.

Use your hands to form crumbs into a soft lump, put the dough on a board and roll out 3-4 mm thick. Using a notch with a diameter of 9 cm, cut out the cakes. Transfer the cakes to a flat dish, cover with a film and place in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes, and then bake at 200°C (390°F) for 12 minutes.

While shortbread cakes are being baked, you can prepare nut dough, it is prepared in the same way as the previous one, only when kneading it is necessary to add half of these nuts to the dough. Cut out the same cakes from the resulting nut dough, sprinkle the remaining nuts on top, cool and then bake.

Spread the cooled shortcrust pastry cakes with jam, cover with a nut cake on top and sprinkle cake on top with powdered sugar.
