Jam 6 tsp

Cooking Recipe

For the Bulgarian recipe apples in wine, you first need to prepare the cream. Add butter, starch, sugar, yolk and vanilla sugar to milk. Mix everything and put in a water bath.

Stirring occasionally, cook until thick. Remove the cream from the heat, and, without ceasing to stir, cool. Beat the chilled cream with a whisk and mix with chopped almonds and raisins.

Wash the apples, cut out the core without cutting through the bottom, and fill them with cream. Grease a mold or a saucepan with oil, put apples in it, pour in wine and simmer over medium heat under a lid until the apples are soft. After boiling, put each apple on a cookie, put a teaspoon of jam on top, pour over the wine in which the apples were cooked, and serve.
