Turkish delight – a recipe for one of the Turkish sweets, fruit molasses or cocoa is added for taste. Various nuts or raisins can be added to Turkish delight.

Recipe Ingredients

Sugar 3.5 cups
Corn Starch 1 cup
Water 1.5 cups
Citric Acid 0.5 tsp
Cocoa Powder 1 tbsp
Walnut 5 pcs

Cooking Recipe

The Turkish delight recipe is very simple. Pour 1 cup of cold water into sugar, stir and put on medium heat. When the sugar dissolves and the syrup boils, pour in the starch diluted in 0.5 cups of water. When introducing starch into syrup, it must be constantly stirred with a wooden spoon.

Cook the syrup with starch, stirring constantly, until it begins to thicken. At the end of cooking, add vanilla, citric acid and cocoa.

Mix everything well and pour into a flat dish. It is better to line the dishes with foil or baking paper before pouring Turkish delight into it. After Turkish delight hardens, it must be cut into squares and sprinkled with powdered sugar.
