Satsebeli – Georgian tomato sauce. Satsebeli sauce is well suited to any Georgian food. Satsebeli sauce recipe is cooked very quickly and from simple ingredients – tomato juice, cilantro and dill, with the addition of garlic and hot pepper. In translation, this sauce is a dipstick, liquid sauce and dipped pita bread or other bread. Satsebeli is not stored for a long time, and there is no need, it is better to cook a small amount, but to be fresh.

Recipe Ingredients

Cilantro 3 bunches
Dill 3 bunches
Garlic 1 clove
Tomato Juice 600 ml
Hot Pepper 1-2 pcs
Water 150 ml

Cooking Recipe

To cook a Georgian cuisine recipe Satsebeli sauce, wash the greens and squeeze out excess water. Wash hot pepper, remove seeds and septum, peel garlic. If you are not afraid of hot pepper, then the seeds can not be removed from it.

Next, mince the prepared hot pepper, herbs and garlic in a meat grinder with medium cells. If you want a more uniform sauce, you can mince it twice or use a fine sieve. Pour hot water into the spices, mix and let stand for a couple of minutes.

Pour tomato juice, salt into the crushed ingredients and mix. Satsebeli sauce is ready, if there is no tomato juice, you can add tomato paste diluted with water or fresh twisted tomatoes without peel and seeds. The sauce is well kept in the refrigerator.
