Pickled Pears – a recipe for Moldovan cuisine, for pickling you need dense pears with hard pulp. Ready-made pickled pears are very tasty, they are well suited even as a snack. Cloves, cinnamon and allspice give a special aroma to pickled pears.

For the Moldovan cuisine recipe pickled pears, varieties of late pears with firm pulp are needed. Wash the pears in cold water, cut into quarters, remove the core, cut off the stem and calyx.
Put the pears prepared for pickling into a colander and immerse in boiling water for 5-6 minutes. Then remove the pears from the boiling water and put them in cold water for 1-2 minutes to cool. Allow the water to drain, and then transfer the pears tightly to sterilized baths.
Pour water into a saucepan, add spices, sugar and vinegar. Put the saucepan over medium heat, let the marinade boil, and then cook for 10 minutes.
Pour the prepared marinade and spices into pears, cover and sterilize for 10 minutes. After sterilization, roll up the jars of pickled pears, turn them over, wrap them up and let them cool.
