Panna Cotta - Italian cuisine recipe, literal translation panna cotta - boiled cream. This dessert has long been popular not only in Italy, but also far beyond its borders.

Recipe Ingredients

Cream 33% 500 ml
Milk 200 ml
Sugar 140 g
Gelatin 12 g
Vanilla Sugar 0.5 tsp

Cooking Recipe

For the Italian panna cotta recipe, soak the gelatine in a little water and leave to swell for 10 minutes. Place milk over medium heat and bring to a boil. Add the swollen gelatin to the hot milk and mix well.

In a separate bowl, mix cream with sugar and vanilla. Put the cream on medium heat, and, stirring constantly, also bring to a boil. Pour the warmed cream into the milk with gelatin and mix well.

Pour panna cotta into molds, cool to room temperature, and then refrigerate for 2 hours. Panna cotta is served with fresh berries, fruit or fruit sauce. For sauce, mash any berries or fruits in the same amount of powdered sugar or prepare sugar syrup and mix mashed fruits with it.

After the panna cotta has hardened, dip the mold in warm water for about 30 seconds, and then invert onto a serving plate. Drizzle panna cotta with berry or fruit sauce and serve.
