To cook knysh with fried onion recipe, in warm whey, dissolve the yeast, add half the flour, mix, cover with a towel and put in heat. Dough should come up after about 40 minutes.
While the dough is coming, you can cook the onion stuffing for the knysh. Peel and finely chop the onion. Put the prepared onion in a preheated pan with vegetable oil and fry until slightly golden, and then salt and pepper.
During this time, the dough came up and now it is necessary to add vegetable oil, salt and gradually pouring flour into the dough. Knead the dough until it stops sticking to your hands. Cover the dough with a towel and put it in heat again for 1 hour to make the dough come up. Divide the dough into 15-16 pieces, roll them into a ball and cover with a towel. While you are working with one, the rest should lie under a towel so that they do not wind off.
Roll out the dough into a cake, put onion stuffing in the middle. Cut the edges of the dough, you can make 4 cuts, you can 5-7. If you make 4 cuts, then first the upper and lower petals are folded, and then the side ones are folded over them.
If you make 5-7 incisions, then the knysh can be formed into a rose, folding the petals one by one in a circle. Petals need to be fastened together otherwise when baking your rose will open.
Put prepared knyshes on a baking sheet sprinkled with flour and put in an oven preheated to 200°C (390°F). Bake knyshes for 30 minutes, and then remove, grease with vegetable oil and serve.
