Gingerbread Dough – The recipe for gingerbread dough is very simple, you can make various gingerbread from it. Gingerbread dough is popular throughout Europe, where gingerbread houses are also made from it.
Gingerbread Dough Ingredients
- Honey 300 g
- Sugar 250 g
- Eggs 2 pcs
- Wheat flour 750 g
- Cocoa powder 3 tsp
- Baking powder 2 tsp
- Ground ginger 1,5 tsp
- Ground cloves 1,5 tsp
- Ground cinnamon 1 tsp
Gingerbread Dough Recipe
For gingerbread dough, honey, 200 g sugar and 4 tbsp. Put water over medium heat and heat, stirring occasionally, until sugar dissolves. Cool the prepared syrup for 15 minutes.
Mix all dry ingredients. Then combine all three parts and knead the dough. Wrap the kneaded dough in foil and place in the cold for 30 minutes. Roll out the prepared dough to a thickness of about 5-7 mm and cut out various figures. Since the dough is slightly sticky, it is best to roll it out on foil, covered with cling film. On the same foil and bake the cut gingerbread cookies.
