Ginger lemon ale is a recipe for making an Indian drink made from ginger, lemon juice and a few peppercorns. The aroma of this drink can be further enhanced by adding a few peas of allspice or white pepper.

Recipe Ingredients

Ginger 30 g
Lemon 6-8 pcs
Sugar 500 g
Water 2 l
Black Pepper 1 tsp

Cooking Recipe

For a ginger lemon ale recipe, grind the ginger into a paste or crush it with a rolling pin. Pour crushed ginger, pepper into 500 ml of water and bring to a boil over moderate heat. After that, reduce the heat and cook for another 4-5 minutes. Strain the broth through a fine sieve, and pour 500 ml of water over the ginger and pepper and follow the same procedure.

Wash the lemons, and then squeeze out the juice. To make it easier to squeeze out the juice, lemons should first be rolled on the table by pressing on them with your palm.

Add sugar to the strained broth (1 l), mix, pour in the juice from the lemons and cool.

Before serving to ginger-lemon ale, pour 1 liter of plain or soda water and serve with ice cubes.
