Cucumbers in grape leaves – food preservation recipe for the winter, it may seem to someone that grape leaves are superfluous, you can prepare delicious cucumbers without them. Of course you can, but grape leaves, in addition to giving the cucumbers an original aroma and taste, also protect the cucumbers from discoloration. In addition to everything, the grape leaves should not be thrown away after eating cucumbers, they can be used to make wonderful dolma. If the grape leaves are small, they can be used two or three per cucumber. If you don't have pure grape juice, you can safely use apple or grape-apple juice for this recipe.

Recipe Ingredients

Cucumbers 1.5-1.7 kg
Water 1 l
Grape Juice 300 ml
Salt 50 g
Sugar 50 g

Cooking Recipe

To cook a food preservation recipe for the winter cucumbers in grape leaves, scald cucumbers with boiling water, then rinse under cold running water.

In the grape leaves, cut off the tails and rinse well, and then, like cucumbers, scald with boiling water, and then immediately rinse under cold running water.

Wash and sterilize liter jars. Wrap the cucumbers in grape leaves, put the prepared cucumbers tightly in jars.

Mix water with juice, salt and sugar. Put the brine on the stove and boil.

Pour cucumbers in grape leaves with hot brine, let them stand for 1-2 minutes and drain the marinade.

Repeat scalding cucumbers with marinade two more times, and then cover with tin lids and seal. Corked cucumbers in grape leaves turn the lid down, wrap and allow to cool, and then store in the pantry.
