For the chicken soup with homemade noodles recipe, remove the skin from the chicken, cut into portions and place in a pot of cold water in an amount of 2.5 liters. Put the chicken in a saucepan over medium heat, add finely chopped onion and cook for an hour.

Cut the carrots into strips or rub on a coarse grater. Pour chopped carrots and bay leaf into the broth. While the broth is cooking, you can prepare the noodles.

Beat the egg lightly and, while whisking, add the sifted flour and salt. Knead a stiff dough, and then roll it out on a floured table. It is necessary to roll out the dough for noodles with a thickness of no more than 1 mm. Lightly sprinkle the rolled out layer with flour and set aside until the dough dries slightly, and then cut into thin strips.

Pour the finished noodles into the broth, and then add the peeled and diced potatoes. Cook until potatoes are soft. When serving chicken soup, you can sprinkle with finely chopped dill.
