Each hostess cooks clafoutis to her taste, it can be almost liquid and is eaten with a spoon. Also, clafoutis can have a firmer shape and look like a pie. In fact, clafoutis is something between a dessert and a casserole, light, airy and tender. Clafoutis cherries can be used both fresh and frozen, this will not spoil the dessert in any way.
