I want to devote quince this week. What do we know about her? Quince is a healthy fruit containing pectin compounds, glucose, fructose, potassium salts, iron, calcium, phosphorus and copper, as well as vitamins A, B, C, E and PP. Quince is recommended to be included in the diet for people who work in hazardous industries or live in contaminated areas, since the high content of pectin helps to remove radionuclides from the body. A decoction of quince leaves lowers blood sugar.
All this is wonderful, but how many quince dishes do you know? Recently, being in the market, I was faced with the fact that even sellers do not know why I buy it. This is not a fruit that can be eaten like an apple or pear. I had to give a mini-lecture on quince recipes.
