Shichi-mi Togarashi is a Japanese condiment made from a mixture of peppers. The spiciness of the seasoning is given by the Tagarashi pepper. In addition to hot peppers, the mixture includes black and white sesame seeds, fried orange peel, hemp seeds, poppy seeds, and ginger. Shichimi togarashi is often eaten with soups, noodles, and udon. Some rice products such as rice cakes, mochi, and fried rice crackers also use it as a condiment.
