Eggplant (lat. Solánum melongéna) is popularly called blue. Eggplants are very popular in national cuisines of many countries. Many dishes are prepared from eggplant, eggplant is fried, stewed, baked, boiled, grilled or eaten raw, eggplant is used to prepare caviar, and eggplant is salted for storage.
