Cherry (lat. Prúnus subg. Cerásus) - a subgenus of plants of the genus Plum (Prunus) of the family Pink (Rosaceae). The fruits of cherry have a sweet and sour taste. The fruits of cherries contain organic acids, sugars and vitamins. In cooking, cherries are widely used in German, French and Ukrainian cuisine.
